Soccer supporters supporting their community

Who We Are

A group of 1500 committed soccer fans looking to invest time into our community

What We Do

We Work with local non-profits. Our mission is their mission.

Why We Do It

The Rapids don’t play every weekend. When they are resting, we are supporting the community

Recent Partnerships

We are proud to work with local organizations to further their missions and causes by inviting our audiences and our membership to get involved, either by hands-on volunteering, various equipment drives, or by making monetary donations.

Colorado Soccer Foundation: Home - Colorado Soccer Foundation

We are proud to team up with the Colorado Soccer Foundation (CSF), whose mission is to make the game of soccer accessible to youth, regardless of income or background. CSF provides after-school programs, pick up play, and tournaments that give thousands of youth the chance to stay active, build confidence, and experience the social, emotional, and health benefits of soccer.

Partnering with them was a no-brainer—we invited CSF to a C38 tailgate to share their mission and hosted a successful equipment drive to ensure their kids have what they need to play soccer. Keep an eye out for the youth tournaments at Soccer City Aurora—you can even join a C38 team and get in on the action!

Servicios de la Raza: Servicios’ Website

We were privileged enough to host Servicios de la Raza twice this year at our tailgates! We admire and support their mission entirely - a quick quote from their website illustrates that mission well:
Dignity, stability, and hope are within reach for all. Rooted in the Chicano civil rights movement, Servicios de La Raza was founded with the mission to provide and advocate for culturally responsive, essential human services and opportunities, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.”

We ran two fundraising events by screen-printing shirts during our tailgate for anyone who provided proof of donation to Servicios de la Raza, and we’re so excited for future projects to support them! Please check them out and consider ways to support their crucial work for our neighbors across Colorado.

Trans Continental Pipeline: TCP Website

We were thrilled to have raised over Five Thousand Dollars for our friends at The Trans Continental Pipeline at our annual Amateur Drag Show & our Summer Kickoff Party tailgates this year!!! The TCP are providing a profoundly important service to our 2SLGBTQIA+ friends around the country who are in unsafe situations by helping them to relocate to Colorado - please visit their site and spread the word about the amazing work they’re doing for our friends around the country and consider throwing them a donation!

Canine Partners of the Rockies: CPOTR Website

We invited our members to bring their pups out during one of Rapids’ Bark in the Park events in support of CPOTR, a wonderful organization who are working to connect our friends in the disability community with service animals to help enable and empower folks to lead more independent lives. Please join us in supporting this incredible organization in their mission to help our neighbors!

Colorado Name Change Project: CNCP Website

The CNCP has been a reliable and accessible resource for folks looking for assistance with changing their legal names and/or correcting gender markers. Their staff provide workshops across Colorado, pro-bono legal assistance, and all of the assistance folks might need during these processes. Please help us in spreading the word so their great work can reach as many folks as possible!

About the Board

At the formation of the Oar Foundation, the members wanted the Oar Foundation to be an independent tool for good in the Denver community. As such, the Oar Foundation has a different board of governors from C38’s senior and junior board members. This allows The Oar Foundation to focus on its commitment to the community and establish its own set of values. Still tightly knit with Centennial 38, the Oar Foundation connects the Supporters culture in Denver with various non-profit endeavors in their community.
